Victoria is a Registered Kinesiologist and owner of Pure Movement. Victoria’s main clinical focus is in the field of Aqua Therapy and providing personalized service through private sessions. Aqua Therapy is beneficial for a multitude of common conditions such as arthritis, post operative joint surgeries, and orthopaedic injuries to name a few. The natural properties of water (specifically buoyancy) allow the body to move easier, offload and reduce stress on the joints thereby allowing clients to perform exercises and movements normally difficult or unable to perform on land. Discover movement beyond your limits.
Victoria holds a Bachelor of Science degree (honours) in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, a post-graduate certificate from Humber College in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management. Victoria is always expanding her knowledge and enrolling in continuing education courses, most recently from the Canadian Aquatic Rehab Institute (CARI), she took Foundational Aquatic Therapy, Aquatic Therapy for Gait and Balance Retraining and Aquatic Therapy for Chronic Pain and Management. Victoria is also a trained BoneFit Exercise Provider and Leuko K-tape certified.
There is currently a waitlist to get in for aqua therapy sessions with Victoria at the Centennial Pool in Collingwood. Please be patient as we work through all of the inquiries. Land-based exercise and rehabilitation is still available with no waitlist.
